GANESH PRASAD KADRI:(Ganesha for me)
It is said "A brother is a friend provided by nature" .How true?! I'm lucky indeed that one of my best & closest friend is also provided by destiny as my own cousin brother-Ganesh! Infact I feel he is not my cousin ,but my own relfection of a soulmate-'brother'!
If I were to look at any one person who instills a sense of inspiration in me -is definitely my cousin -Ganesh.If I have noticed one person metamorphsis his situations,it has to be Ganesh!
"A brother shares childhood memories and grown-up dreams" said a Author Unknown!
He is just two years elder to me & I vividly recollect how easily we got along from my 1st recollection of him way back when I was 5yrs old & he a hyperactive 7yrs old. We had gone out playing with our familes at a park -Maryapanapalya park in Bangalore as they were down for a famliy trip. He was kind of a hero with ability to execute all kind of boyish antics with a zeal & boundless energy. Due to our upbringing in two different places along our growing years ,we did not get to meet each other except for stray social events like marraiges in family or our ocassional visit to Mangalore for some ceremonies. Yet can rewind to the times that we always had some fun and games and gelled well. He always seemed the same through all those years. However far & inbetween were our interactions, whenever we met-we hit it off well like the closest of pals.
Our real association, though started in 1990. I have pictorical memory of a curly haired ,thin, fast talking ,gawky youngster with flashy dressing & almost bollywoodish attitude coming home to talk to my granny when I was in my 12th. There was something unique about him.He was all heart, easy to get along with, simple yet the one thing that stood out was his AMBITION-a steely resolve to achieve a niche for himself! I have been closely associated through his slow progress professionally & have noticed the marked improvement in his outlook to life as he went riding the crests & troughs life offered him enroute. I have always shared his sense of pride when he got his 1st HERO PUCH, his sense of achievement whenhe graduated to own a HeroHonda & eventually a sense of chidlish delight on owning a Maruti Car before growing to own a HYUNDAI ACCENT with a sense of purpose! As he moved from a non-discrete room shared with a friend to different rented houses in Bangalore, I knew & could sense that one day he would make Bangalore his home! My forecast has indeed come true! I'm mighty elevated today -27April'09 that my big brother has made his dream come true-to build & own a house of his own in Bangalore!
"Our brothers and sisters are there with us from the dawn of our personal stories to the inevitable dusk" said Susan Scarf Merrell.I can write a whole book on your life from whatever I have seen & known of you!Hence this idea of writting a blog as a dedication to my brother on his proud day-the Gruhapravesham of his dream house!
Sometimes being a brother is even better than being a superhero. ~Marc Brown ,I completely agree with this statement ,Ganesha,I'm realy proud of you dear for having gone through all the trials & tribulations that life threw at you & yet emerge stronger every single time! You sure are desitny's child! If life played a drama, you were always the pivotal character. I personally do not know of any individual whose life has seen so many turns & twists, threatening to gnaw at your inner strengths! But I'm so glad that you have slowly yet steadily grown victorious over all your adversities with your simple ,methodical yet in his own logical ways. There sure have been times when he did have tears in your eyes & mouth drying up with a nonchalant query against nature for being so rough on him,at times.
I recollect & rewind on how often Ganesh sprang back from every single drawback he faced. I have shared hisworries, tensions, fears, insecurities, but am glad that he has everytime converted those testing moments into hisstrengths & grown as a person.
Ganesh, I have not forgotten a single event/incident of your life that was shared with our family ,inclusing trivial fun growing up times when we used to discuss your heartline wink!
"It takes two men to make one brother" said Israel Zangwill.I could not agree more! In you I have seen two distinct men -my friend & inspiration drawn into one!
Astrid Alauda had said "There's no other love like the love for a brother. There's no other love like the love from a brother". How true?! Well my dear, even when 1000s of miles away from you, some how my heart yearns for all the good times we share. Today, I would like to reveal a fact that my eyes & heart still look out for you every single time I reach B'lore & I feel restless untill & unless I see you my dear! Know not if everyone feels this way for a brother, but I do!That proves to me how dear you are to me!
Ganesha, It was nice growing up with someone like you - someone to lean on, someone to count on... someone to tell on! I sought my soul, but my soul I could not see. I sought my God, but my God eluded me. I sought my brother and I found all three & THAT WAS YOU!!That high a esteem I hold you in & feel mighty blessed to have you in my life as my brother!
I strongly belive that "To the outside world we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time". Hence hope & pray that our association remains the same through times ahead.
I'm convinced that our relation will grow further & feel blessed to have you in my life as my borther & firmly endorse what St Francis of Assisi had said "And blessed is he who loves his brother as well when he is afar off as when he is by his side, and who would say nothing behind his back he might not, in love, say before his face"
I can not wait to meet you again & relive those magical moments of togetherness, fun.laughs & male talks "And when we do come together, there's a special blend of humor that we share. To others we might look silly, but such laughter is like conversation between me and my brother".
It doesn't seem to matter how much time has elapsed or how far we've travelled. But this brother of yours prays diligently every singel morning to the ALMIGHTY to make my brother's dreams come true . Today I stand vindicated that God does listen to sincere prayers & always blesses hardwork. You have worked hard & it has paid dividends.
Just know for a fact today Ganesh that, wherever I'm, I would always be there for you-anytime/everytime!! You have to just remember me!!
Proud of you BRO! Luv & care....Rock on!!!
